To sign as a correct record the minutes of the meeting held on 16 June 2020.

Minutes:

Councillor Cockburn moved an amendment to minute number 11, the minute should read Branthwaite, not Braithwaite.

 

As this was a typographical amendment, this motion did not require a seconder.

 

The minutes of the meeting held 16 June 2020 were signed as a correct record.

Development Panel - FUL/2019/0251 - Retrospective application for change of use of farm buildings, Langrigg Hall, Langrigg, Wigton pdf icon PDF 562 KB

Minutes:

The Planning and Building Control manager introduced the item explaining that additional information and data has been received since agenda publication which had a significant impact on the officer’s recommendation.

 

Following receipt of the additional information and data, additional representations were made by Allerdale BC Environmental Health department which affected comments made in the report in paragraph 6.9, which also affected the assessment and conclusion with regards to noise and residential amenity as per paragraph 12.5.

 

A statement was then read out to members on behalf of Allerdale Borough Council’s Environmental Protection Manager, which recommended that the application be deferred.

 

The Planning and Building Control Manager then also recommended that the application should be deferred due to the following reasons,

 

a)  To allow for Council officers to examine the additional information in further detail.

b)  To enable the applicant to respond to comments made by Council officers based on the additional information

c)  To allow all parties to respond to the additional information and comments made by both applicant and Council officers.

 

Councillor Cockburn moved the motion to defer as per the officers’ recommendations

 

The motion to defer was seconded by Horsley

 

A vote was taken on the motion to defer, 11 voted in favour 0 against and 0 abstentions.

 

The motion was carried.

 

Resolution

 

The application be deferred due to the following reasons

 

a)  To allow for Council officers to examine the additional information in further detail

b)  To enable the applicant to respond to comments made by Council officers based on the additional information

c)  To allow all parties to respond to the additional information and comments made by both applicant and Council officers.

Development Panel - FUL/2020/0022 - Change of use of building for storage of woodchip fuel for boilers associated with farm, Pow Motey Farm Adjacent to Langrigg Hall, Langrigg Wigton pdf icon PDF 346 KB

Minutes:

The Planning and Building Control manager introduced the item explaining that as per the previous application (FUL/2019/0251) that additional information and data has been received since agenda publication which has significant impact on the officer’s recommendation.

 

As the decision was made to defer application (FUL/2019/0251) the Planning and Building Control manager advised to members that this application should also be deferred pending the findings in relation to FUL/2019/0251 as there could be implications which could affect the assessment of this application.

 

Councillor Cockburn moved the motion to defer as per the officers’ recommendations

 

The motion to defer was seconded by Councillor Markley

 

A vote was taken on the motion to defer, 11 voted in favour 0 against and 0 abstentions.

 

The motion was carried.
